The Sunday Independent/Statista list of Ireland’s 150 Best Employers is based on research of companies with more than 200 employees
LinkedIn has knocked Google off the top spot as Ireland’s best employer for 2023, according to a comprehensive research project studying more than 1,000 companies.
The Sunday Independent/Statista list of Ireland’s 150 Best Employers is based on research of companies with more than 200 employees.
Google is in second place having topped the rankings for the first two years of the research, with tech companies performing well despite a wave of high profile job cuts. Reflecting this shift is the presence of two pharma companies in the top 5 – Lilly and Pfizer – as multi-nationals in that sector continue to expand and make major jobs announcements.
There are several new entrants to the top 150 this year. Construction company Breedon Group takes the highest spot for a new entrant at 12th place.
In total, 6,500 employees from organisations across Ireland took part in the research project and were asked to answer more than 25 questions about various aspects of their job including pay, work-life balance, development opportunities, their work environment as well as the reputation of their employer.
