Video: Eamon Carr gives stirring reading of poem in honour of Philip Chevron

Eamon Carr at the reading

VIDEO has emerged of writer Eamon Carr giving a powerful reading of a poem he wrote in memory of the late Philip Chevron.

The long serving ‘Herald’ columnist read the poem at Caca Milis Cabaret in November last year.

Today marks the one year anniversary of the legendary musicians passing, and video of the reading was uploading in tribute.

Chevron rose to prominence thanks to his work with The Pogues and The Radiators from Space.

Carr gave the recital accompanied by clarinetist Ciaran Wilde.

The musician passed away last year after a long battle with cancer.

He had played a charity fundraiser just two months previously, on what would prove to be his last public appearance.
