When Westfield was released almost two years ago, the scheme was the first major new estate to launch in Leixlip in a decade.

Westfield is so named because it's the most westerly development in Leixlip.

The scheme, which is being developed by Killross Properties, is located off Leixlip's Easton Road and will comprise 195 properties when it's finished.

In January, ten three- and four-bed houses were released at the development, six of which are still available.

Prices start at €415,000 for the Louisa, a large three-bed style spanning 1,453 sq ft, while a four-bed semi-detached home from the Castletown design, which measures 1,529 sq ft, costs from €465,000.

Both house types have floored attics that are already primed for a future conversion. Indeed, most buyers plan on converting the attics, which would give them 400 sq ft of extra space, according to the selling agent.

The Louisa style has full-brick façade, a walled garden to the rear, and a paved driveway with soft landscaping to the front.

The A3-rated houses are close to Junction 6 of the M4 and to the Intel plant, the town's main employer.

Viewings will be held from 11am to 12pm tomorrow.
