John Downing: Eyes of world on Turkey as Erdogan is expected to win five more years in charge

Turkey’s political strongman, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is expected to extend his 22 years in power after a run-off vote tomorrow, and we should have that result around teatime, with polls closing at 5pm local time, which is 3pm Irish time.
