I will be in Paris next week on my way home from Italy. Ah, Paris in the early summer – the sunshine, the style, the strolls along the Seine. All idyllic, but spoiled for the visitor right now by one thing – the anarchy of electric scooters. There are thousands of the blasted things. Everywhere you turn, there they are, like a plague that’s out of control.
