‘It’s a funny old game’ as the legendary Greavsie regularly referred to football and its varying twists and turns on the Saint & Greavsie, Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves’ television show back in the day. If the iconic goal-poacher were alive today, his oft-used phrase would be equally apt for use in a very different code entirely.
